Cookie Policy
Effective Date: August 04, 2025
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. They help UpGrind remember your preferences, such as your theme, username, and notification toggles, all to make your experience smoother.
Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential Cookies: Required for basic app functionality like auth, security, etc.
- Preference Cookies: Store your username, theme, animations, and other toggle settings. These are stored locally, not on servers.
- Analytics Cookies: Vercel may use analytics cookies to monitor app usage and help improve performance. You can toggle them in the settings.
- Advertising Cookies: When implemented, AdMob may use cookies to personalize or track ad performance. [You will be notified via the app whenever it is implemented]
Third-Party Cookies
- Firebase Authentication & Firestore: May set session cookies to manage authentication and store your app data securely.
- Google AdMob: Not active yet. In the future, ads may be personalized via third-party cookies. You’ll have full control via browser or ad settings.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. You can even disable analytics and marketing (if implemented) cookies in the app's settings. However, disabling certain cookies may impact your experience. For example, your theme or animation preferences may not be saved.
Your Choices and Consent
You have the option to
accept or reject non-essential cookies like those
used for analytics. These preferences can be managed anytime through
the Settings section of the app.
Essential cookies required for login, authentication, and saving
your preferences are always active and cannot be disabled, as they
are necessary for the app to function correctly.
Consent & Updates
By using UpGrind, you agree to this cookie policy. If we update this page in the future (e.g., when AdMob is live), you’ll be notified within the app.
